CIPAA is a Brazilian occupational health and safety consultancy. We deliver corporate talks, CIPA (NR-5) training and regulatory compliance consulting to companies operating under Brazilian labour law.
What the name means
CIPAA stands for Comissão Interna de Prevenção de Acidentes e de Assédio — Internal Commission for the Prevention of Accidents and Harassment. It is the current name of Brazil’s mandatory workplace safety committee (formerly CIPA). Law 14.457/2022 and the revised NR-5 standard added harassment prevention to the committee’s duties, which is where the second “A” comes from.

Regulatory context
Ordinance MTE 1.419/2024 brought psychosocial risks into the occupational risk management programme (GRO/PGR) required by standard NR-1. Ordinance MTE 765/2025 set an educational phase until 25 May 2026; since 26 May 2026 enforcement carries penalties. There is no exemption by company size: the duty reaches every employer with CLT employees, with measures proportionate to the risk and to the size of the organisation.
